Bones provide structure, protect organs, anchor muscle and store calcium.

Approximately 1 in 3 aged 50+ will suffer a bone break due to Osteoporosis and approximately 1 in 5 men aged 50+ will suffer a bone break due to Osteoporosis.

Our bones are continuously changing: new bone structure is made and old bone structure is broken down. When you are young, new bone structure is made faster than it is broken down, leading to stronger bones. After the age of 30, you lose more bone structure than you gain, which can cause your bones to become weaker.

As we age, we want to prevent getting Osteoporosis, a condition where you bones are thinner and weaker than normal. This can be achieved by getting enough calcium from our diet, vitamin D through sunlight, regular exercise, quitting cigarettes and only drinking alcohol in moderation.
