Decadent Coffee Dessert
Preparation time25 mins
When we say this Decadent Coffee Dessert is decadent, we mean it! This sweet treat is filled with crème fraîche, amaretto cookies, espresso coffee, Kahlúa, condensed milk, whipped cream and fruit, making for the perfect twist on a tiramisu.
- Espresso coffee - 50 ml
- Creme fraiche - 200 g
- Condensed milk - 2 Tbsp
- Sponge finger or similar, broken into 2cm pieces - 100 g
- Egg white - 1
- Cherries or fruit of choice - 200 g
- Cream, whipped - 100 ml
- Toasted flaked almond - 2 Tbsp
In a small bowl, add the liqueur to black coffee and let it cool.
In a bowl combine the creme fraiche and condensed milk until smooth.
Beat the egg white until stiff, and then gently fold through the creme fraiche mixture.
In individual serving glasses, place about 5 pieces of biscotti and drizzle over half the coffee mix until absorbed into cookies.
Spoon over half the creme fraiche mixture, then a few cherries.
Repeat another layer ending with creme fraiche.
Decorate with whipped cream, fruit and toasted almonds. Chill in fridge until ready to serve
This recipe is from our customer, Fay. She suggests that this is lovely with strawberries in the summer time, but she traditionally makes it with fresh cherries.
