Make the most important meal of the day even easier with this surefire recipe for overnight porridge. Breakfast is served.

Ingredients

  • Oats - 2 cups
  • Chia seeds - 2 Tbsp
  • Cinnamon - 1/4 tsp
  • Salt - 1/4 tsp
  • Milk - 2 1/2 cups

Method

  1. Turn your slow cooker on low.

  2. Into the cooker place milk, salt, cinnamon, oats, chia seeds and 2 1/2 cups of water. Give it a good stir. Cover with the lid and cook overnight, or if you have a timer put it on for 5 hours.

  3. In morning the porridge will be ready. You may need a little more milk to loosen.

  4. Give it a good stir and serve hot with your favourite toppings.
