Hoisin, Ginger & Garlic Beef

bowl Serves 4


  • 2 Tbsp oil
  • 500g beef steak, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 Tbsp finely sliced fresh ginger
  • 1 Tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 Tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1/4 cup select hoisin sauce
  • 2 cups rice cooked according to packet directions
  • 500g select frozen mixed vegetables steamed or stir fried to serve

  • Heat half of the oil in a wok or large frying pan over a high heat.

  • Stir-fry half of the beef for 1 minute, then set aside and repeat with the remaining oil and beef.

  • Return all the beef to the pan and add the garlic and ginger. Stir-fry for a further minute. Add the fish sauce, rice vinegar and hoisin sauce. Cook for a further 2 minutes, stirring to coat the beef with the sauce.

  • Serve with rice & vegetables.
