Mini Cottage Pies

  • 1. Preheat an oven to 200°C.

  • 2. Cut 12 x 8cm circles from the puff pastry sheets and line a 12-hole muffin tin.

  • 3. Heat a frying pan to a medium heat. Add the lamb mince, onion and carrot cooking for 10 minutes until lightly browned. Add the passata, herbs, salt and pepper to taste cooking until thickened. Remove and allow to cool.

  • 4. Spoon the mince into the pastry cases. Top with mashed kumara and a sprinkle of cheese. Place into the oven for 20 minutes until golden and pastry crispy.

  • 5. Serve warm or reheat for a later occasion.
