Kieran’s Chocolate Peanut Butter Slice

  • Base
  • 1 1/2 cups ground almonds (almond meal)
  • 4 Tbsp cocoa powder
  • 4 Tbsp maple syrup, plus 2 Tbsp maple syrup for the filling
  • 2 Tbsp canola or coconut oil
  • Pinch of salt
  • Filling
  • 1 jar smooth peanut butter
  • 1 Tbsp canola or coconut oil
  • Chocolate Topping
  • 200g dark chocolate drops
  • 2 Tbsp canola or coconut oil

  • 1. In a blender, combine the base ingredients together. Press the mixture into a tin and then place in the freezer for 1 hour.

  • 2. To make the peanut butter filling, in a bowl, combine all of the filling ingredients. Pour the filling over base and allow to set in the fridge for 1-2 hours.

  • 3. To make the topping, melt the chocolate drops and oil together. Pour the mix evenly over top of the slice, place in fridge to set. Take out if fridge 5 minutes before cutting, slice into pieces and enjoy!
