Fruit Mince Fudge

Ingredients

  • 400g dark cooking chocolate, coarsely chopped
  • 395g sweetened condensed milk
  • 50g unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup prepared fruit mince*
  • 1/3 cup slivered almonds, roasted, plus 1/4 cup extra

Fruit Mince Fudge

Method

  • 1. Lightly grease a 20cm square cake tin. Line base and sides with baking paper, extending paper 2cm above the tin edge.

  • 2. In a medium saucepan, combine chocolate, condensed milk and butter. Stir over a low heat for 4-6 minutes or until smooth. Remove from the heat and stir fruit mince and almonds through.

  • 3. Spoon into prepared tin, ensuring it’s smooth and even on the top. Sprinkle with extra almonds and chill overnight. Cut into squares and serve.
