Marinated Beef Strips with Pak Choy
- 1 tbsp oil
- 400 g beef schnitzel sliced thinly
- 1 pk pak choy, sliced into strips
- 3 cloves garlic, peeled
- 1 tbsp ginger, grated
- 1 fresh chilli, to taste (optional)
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2 tsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp tomato sauce
- 1.5 cups rice
How to Cook Perfect Rice
Using a mortar and pestle or blender, grind the garlic, ginger and chilies into a paste. Add the remaining marinade ingredients and 1 Tbsp water.
Drizzle this over the sliced beef and massage in. Cover and set in fridge for at least 30 minutes.
Heat a wok until very hot then add the oil. Quickly lay the beef evenly into the wok. Let the beef sit for about one minute before moving it.
Stir fry the meat for another minute then add the greens.
When greens are softened, and still retain their colour, remove from heat and serve with rice.
