The Promoter of this Promotion is Coca-Cola Amatil (N.Z.) Limited, The Oasis, Mt Wellington, Auckland (“CCA”) (“Promoter”).
Monster Energy AU Pty Ltd. is not the promoter of the Promotion. The Monster Energy brand names, logos and/or materials are used for the purposes of promotion and/or prize descriptions only and such use is not intended to suggest or imply Monster Energy AU Pty Ltd’s sponsorship of this Promotion.
The Promotion commences at 00:01am on 09 March 2020 and closes at 11.59pm on 05 April 2020 (“Promotion Period”). No entries will be accepted outside of the Promotion Period.
This Promotion is open to Onecard holders only shopping at Countdown, owned by Progressive Enterprises Limited of 80 Favona Rd, Favona, Auckland (“Progressive”). Please note that employees of the Promoter and Progressive cannot be excluded from Onecard promotions. Entrants must also be New Zealand residents who are aged 18 years and over.
Method of Entry
For the duration of the Promotion Period, customers can enter by:
Purchasing any Monster Energy product (“Participating Bonus Product”) from a Countdown supermarket in New Zealand or online and either swiping their Onecard or entering their Onecard details at the time of purchase. One entry into the Promotion will be received for each Participating Bonus Product purchased. Entry date for online purchases is the order delivery date (which must be within the Promotion Period). For the avoidance of doubt, customers will not be eligible to participate in this Promotion if they do not swipe or enter their Onecard details at the time of purchase. Entries will not be accepted on a retrospective basis after the time of purchase.
Entry is not limited per transaction. If more than 1 Participating Bonus Product is purchased in a single transaction in-store or online, customers will be entitled to one entry for each Participating Bonus Product purchased.
The Promoter reserves the right, at its discretion, to remove or to introduce further Participating Bonus Products during the Promotion Period.
There are 2(two) prizes available to win an Exclusive Monster Energy Green Ticket for 1 (one) winner and 1 (one) companion to the 2020 Formula 1 British Grand Prix in Silverstone, United Kingdom.
Each prize package is comprised of:
1 (one) winner and companion pass to the 2020 Formula 1 British Grand Prix at Silverstone, United Kingdom.
Two return economy international flights from the winner’s closest International Airport to London, UK;
5 Nights’ accommodation for two people sharing one hotel room near Silverstone, United Kingdom;
NZD$1,000 spending money for the winner only;
- 3 Day Premium Ticketing for the winner and his/her companion at the Formula 1 British Grand Prix in Silverstone, United Kingdom. This includes event view from the stylish Fusion Lounge terrace or reserved grandstand, entertainment and catering;

Estimated total Prize value NZ$36,146. Elements of the Prize are unavailable for purchase so this value is an estimate only.
Both winners and nominated companions must be available to travel between 25 July 2020 to 25 July 2020. Flights are from the winner’s closest International Airport. The winners and companions must make their own way to and from the closest International Airport to be eligible to take up this Prize.
Additional transfers to those specified and any Ground Operator Handling Fees are not included. Both winners and companions are responsible for all other expenses including meals, drinks, laundry charges, activities (unless specified), car hire, hotel incidentals and in room charges, service charges, gratuities and additional taxes. Unless expressly stated in these Terms and Conditions all other travel and prize related expenses become the responsibility of the winner and his/her companion. Travel insurance is not included. Selection of airline, departure dates, departure times and accommodation venue is at the Promoter’s discretion at the time of booking. The winner is responsible for any vehicle hire and insurance which may be desired in connection with the redemption of the Prize. Airline travel, and accommodation are subject to the relevant supplier’s standard terms and conditions and the Promoter will not be liable for any act or omission of any third party providing those services. The Prize must be taken as offered and may not be deferred, is not transferable, and may not be exchanged for cash or taken in parts. All additional costs for any changes made by the winner (or their companion) to the Prize after it has been booked must be paid by the winner (or their companion). The winner will be required to present a valid credit card when checking in to the accommodation.
Prior to being awarded the Prize, the winners and companions will be required to:
Show proof of their identity and a valid NZ Passport or valid international Passport showing NZ residency; and
To the fullest extent permitted by law, sign a “Participation Agreement” in the form required by the Promoter, confirming acceptance of these terms and conditions, relating to the Prize, releasing the Promoter, its officers, directors, shareholders, employees, advisors, assignees, agents, licensees, representatives, advertising and promotional agencies from any and all liability in connection with this Promotion.
If the Participation Agreements are not signed by the winner and his/her companion and returned to the Promoter within 5 business days of receiving the Participation Agreement documents, the Prize will be forfeited.
The winner and his/her companion take the Prize entirely at their own risk and will be responsible for complying with all laws and requirements relating to the use of the Prize. Any failure by the winner and his/her companion to comply with the conditions imposed by the Prize supplier(s) may result in the Prize being cancelled or withdrawn without liability to the Promoter or the Prize supplier(s).
The winners and companions are responsible for any visa requirements needed, if any to travel to the United Kingdom.
If the winners or companions are unable to take the Prize, due to any illness or personal circumstances beyond the winner’s or companion’s control, the winner must immediately notify the Promoter. The Promoter may, at its sole discretion, allow the winner to nominate another person to whom the Prize can be transferred and the Promoter will use all reasonable endeavours to transfer the Prize accordingly. Any additional costs involved will be payable by the winner or his/her companion. The Promoter will not be liable if any part of the Prize is unable to be transferred to the person nominated by the Winner.
If any Prize item is unavailable, despite the Promoter’s reasonable endeavours to procure it, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute a different prize of equal or greater cash value.
Without limiting any other term of these Terms and Conditions, all elements of the Prize must be taken as and when specified, or will be forfeited with no replacement. The Prize values are correct as at the date of preparing these Terms and Conditions and include any applicable GST. The Promoter is not responsible for any change in Prize value.
Both winners of the Prize will be determined by a random draw from all valid entries received during the Promotion Period on 20 April 2020 at Progressive Enterprises Limited, 80 Favona Rd, Favona, Auckland (“Prize Draw”). The first two (2) valid entry drawn randomly from the entries received during the Promotion Period will each win a Prize.
The winners will be notified by telephone and/or email using the details listed on the Onecard database. If we are unable to reach you by telephone or email, we will send you a letter notifying you. It is up to entrants to ensure that their relevant details on the Onecard database are correct. Details can be updated via the website www.countdown.co.nz/onecard or by phoning the call centre on 0800 40 40 40.
In the event a winner cannot be contacted, (that is, cannot be reached by telephone and/or does not respond to email) within 5 (five) days of the Prize Draw, we will send the winner a letter giving a further 5 (five) days from the date of the letter to get in touch with us. If we still do not get a response following our letter, a new winner will be drawn on the same terms as the original draw.
The winner consents to having their details published on the Countdown website for 1 month following the Prize Draw. By accepting the Prize, the winners companion consents to their names and/or photograph being used for such publicity purposes as reasonably determined by the Promoter. The winner and his/her companion agree to make themselves reasonably available for this purpose, without compensation. The winners and companions must be at least 18 years old to take the Prize.
If a winner is under the age of 18, the Prize will be redrawn.
Exclusions and Liability
The Promoter and Progressive will not be responsible for any late, lost or misdirected entries, including but not limited to entries not received due to technical problems. All entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt by Progressive’s database and not at the time of transmission by the entrant. Progressive’s records are final and conclusive as to time of receipt.
The Promoter and Progressive and their related companies, employees and agencies shall not be liable for any loss, damage or personal injury suffered by any person arising directly or indirectly out of or in connection with entering this Promotion or claiming/winning any Prize, or availing themselves of any Prize, except as required by law.
The Promoter and Progressive are not responsible for the transmission or receipt of any incorrect information associated with entries, either caused by user error or any equipment or programming malfunction associated with the Promotion.
Use of Personal Information
By entering this Promotion, entrants consent to the use of their information as described above.
General Terms and Conditions
By entering into this Promotion you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and acknowledge that you have complied with all of your obligations under the Onecard terms and conditions. The Promoter and Progressive reserve the right to deem that your entry is void should you fail to comply with any of these Terms and Conditions.
By accepting or participating in the Prize, the winner’s companion accepts these Terms and Conditions. All terms and conditions applying to the winner will equally apply to their companion as if reference to the winner were to the companion (unless otherwise indicated).
The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entry or refuse to award the Prize where false or misleading details have been given by an entrant, or an entrant has behaved in a fraudulent or dishonest manner, or otherwise than in accordance with these Terms and Conditions of entry. Any entry not complying with these Terms and Conditions is ineligible to win the Prize. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
If this Promotion is not capable of running as planned for any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including but not limited to, infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, acts or omissions of third parties, technical failures or anything which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion. Any cancellation, termination, modification or suspension of the Promotion will be notified on Progressive’s website at countdown.co.nz.
You must not:
a. Tamper with the entry process;
b. Engage in any conduct that many jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the Promotion;
c. Act in a disruptive, threatening, abusive or harassing manner;
d. Do anything that may diminish the good name of reputation of the Promoter or any of its related entities or of the agencies or companies associated with this Promotion;
e. Breach any law; or
f. Behave in a way that is otherwise inappropriate.
If the winners or companions, in the opinion of the Promoter, are intoxicated, under the influence of alcohol or any other drug, behave aggressively or offensively, or behave in a manner which may diminish the good name or reputation of the Promoter or any of its related entities or the agencies or companies associated with this Promotion, is contrary to law or is otherwise inappropriate at any time while taking the Prize, the Promoter may cancel or restrict you (or your companion) from participating in any elements of the Prize, at its discretion.
It is the responsibility of the winners and companions to ensure that they have full and correct travel documentation, including but not limited to valid passports and visas and required driver’s licences, which meet the requirements of immigration and other government authorities at the destination. Any fines, penalties, payments or expenditures incurred as a result of such documents not meeting the requirements of those authorities will be the sole responsibility of the winner and his/her companion.
Any tax which the winner may be required to pay on the Prize under New Zealand law or the law of any other jurisdiction shall be the responsibility of the winner. The Promoter is not responsible for any tax implications arising from you winning the Prize. You should seek independent financial advice. If for GST purposes this Promotion results in any supply being made for non-monetary consideration, you must follow the Inland Revenue’s stated view that where the parties are at arm’s length, goods and services exchanged are of equal GST inclusive market values.
The winner has rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 which cannot be excluded or limited by the Promoter. These rights include statutory guarantees that any goods provided by the Promoter will be of acceptable quality and fit for purpose, and that any services provided by the Promoter will be rendered with due care and skill. These terms and conditions do not, and do not intend to, exclude or limit those statutory rights in any way. However, to the extent that is permitted by law to do so, the Promoter makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, under laws other than the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 regarding the quality or suitability of the Prize awarded as part of this Promotion and will not be responsible for breach of such representations or warranties.
If any of these terms and conditions are determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable, then the remaining terms and conditions shall continue in full force and effect.
The Promoter’s failure to enforce any term of these Terms and Conditions shall not constitute a waiver of that or any other provision by the Promoter.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
