Recall of Countdown trevally fillets

Countdown is recalling its own brand trevally fish fillets sold between 5 - 11 December 2019  in 51 of its North Island Countdown stores. The fillets may contain elevated levels of histamine.

If any customers have purchased and frozen this product, we advise customers not to consume the product and instead return the fish fillets to their nearest Countdown for a full refund and replacement.  

Not all fish sold were affected; if customers have already consumed the fillets and did not experience any concerns, the fish was not affected. If you have consumed this product and have any concerns about your health, please seek medical advice.
