$1.22 million raised for Countdown Kids Hospital Appeal 2012

The team at Countdown are really proud and excited to announce that $1.22 million has been raised for this year’s Countdown Kids Hospital Appeal and Countdown would like to say a big thanks to the generosity of customers, staff and suppliers for helping to make this happen.

It has been 4 years since $1 million has been raised in a year and this adds to the total of over $4.5 million dollars that has been donated in the last five years.

The money raised goes to 10 dedicated children's hospitals and wards throughout New Zealand through the Countdown Kids Hospital Appeal. Funds raised allow children in the care of hospitals to have access to state-of-the-art equipment that can make all the difference to their recovery.

This  year more than 18,000 Countdown team members were behind the appeal and fundraising activities happened across the country between August and October. Again, we would like to say a big thanks to the generosity of customers, staff and suppliers for helping to make this happen and helping the kids.
