Systems and Inventory Manager

Want a pivotal leadership role within Logistics at Progressive?

Do you have a passion for IT, Systems, Numbers and Stock Management and the drive to learn more about Logistics; then this role could be for you. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, you would be optimising DC operations and service level by managing all DC systems and inventory functions. Successfully driving change and engaging with your team to establish and maintain high performance. Leading change initiatives for the long term benefit of Countdown, all while achieving key business objectives.

Day to day you will:

● Lead, motivate and engage team through the use of effective people management processes

and practices.

● Build capability to achieve individual, team and overall DC business objectives.

● Effectively maintain DC product range, manage new and deleted line and family groups

through effective systems management and inventory integrity.

● Identify, develop and manage required event planning activity and support national project


● Ensure site systems are used as designed and focus on continuous improvement of systems

and processes.

● Role model safety leadership and our Countdown Values, understand and adhere to all

relevant company policies and produces.



We want to hear from you if you:

● Have the ability to lead, coach and manage a team of people

● Are motivated and proven to achieve results

● Have proven planning and problem solving skills and the ability to prioritise and manage

multiple tasks

● Have experience with various computer programmes and knowledge of financial processes

and reporting requirements.

● Possess Business/Management qualifications or significant on the job operations, systems,

inventory and people management experience.
